What is NDIS Skill Development Support?

Our disability support workers help you practise real-life skills in a way that respects your pace, interests and strengths. Activities may include managing routines, preparing meals, budgeting, shopping, using transport and communicating with others. We aim to do tasks with you rather than simply for you, and can reinforce strategies recommended by your occupational therapist or other clinician.

What skills can we work on?

We can focus on budgeting, household routines, shopping, transport, communication, cooking and other goals agreed with you.

Is this occupational therapy?

No. Support workers help practise agreed activities and strategies. Occupational therapists provide clinical assessment and therapeutic recommendations.

Can you help with managing money?

A worker can teach everyday budgeting and shopping skills while following appropriate safeguards for your funds and choices.

How do you track progress?

We can document activities, achievements and useful observations in line with your support plan.

Can skill-building happen outside my home?

Yes. The community is often the best setting to practise transport, shopping and social skills.

How is this support funded?

NDIS funding depends on your disability-related needs, approved plan and applicable NDIS supports rules. Our team can discuss the proposed support with you.

Can I choose my support worker?

We consider your preferences, required skills, availability and any safety or clinical requirements when matching a worker.

How can I get started?

Contact Beyond Health Services with your location, support needs and NDIS goals. We will discuss availability, care planning and pricing before support begins.
