NDIS Wound Care Support

Respectful, clinically guided assistance for disability-related wounds and pressure care at home.

What is NDIS Wound Care Support?

Where disability creates ongoing wound or pressure care needs, we can coordinate an appropriate support arrangement involving registered nurses and, where suitable, specifically trained support workers. Clinical assessment, wound treatment decisions and complex dressings require appropriately qualified practitioners. Support workers only complete tasks that have been properly assessed, authorised and supported by training and supervision.

Can a support worker change dressings?

Only where an appropriately qualified clinician has assessed the specific task as suitable, provided a plan and arranged documented training, delegation and supervision. Complex wound care needs qualified clinical oversight.

Do you have registered nurses?

Yes. We can discuss community nursing and clinical assessment for relevant needs.

Can the NDIS fund wound care?

Disability-related wound and pressure supports may be funded when eligibility and plan requirements are met. General acute medical care is typically a health-system responsibility.

Can workers help prevent pressure injuries?

Workers may assist with appropriate positioning routines and risk-reduction measures under your care plan and clinical guidance.

What if a wound looks infected?

We follow the documented escalation plan and seek timely clinical assessment. Support workers do not diagnose infection or prescribe treatment.

How is this support funded?

NDIS funding depends on your disability-related needs, approved plan and applicable NDIS supports rules. Our team can discuss the proposed support with you.

Can I choose my support worker?

We consider your preferences, required skills, availability and any safety or clinical requirements when matching a worker.

How can I get started?

Contact Beyond Health Services with your location, support needs and NDIS goals. We will discuss availability, care planning and pricing before support begins.
