What does the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026–27 include—and what is found in the Support Catalogue or other documents?

Checked against the NDIS Pricing Schedule effective 24 September 2026 and current NDIS Commission guidance on 20 October 2026. Australian English; content subject to regulatory updates.

The short answer

The 96-page Pricing Schedule is not a complete list of every NDIS purchase or every claiming condition. It lists maximum amounts for the classes of supports covered by that schedule. The separate Support Catalogue supplies additional item and claiming information; Specialist Disability Accommodation has its own 2026–27 pricing schedule.

Exactly what is in the September 2026 Pricing Schedule?

The supplied document is National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Schedule 2026–27, effective 24 September 2026. The 57 numbered pricing tables contain 612 distinct priced line-item entries. Prices are given by the appropriate unit—hours, days, weeks, months or each—and national, remote or very remote locations where applicable.

Appendix Pages Services covered
1 6–18 Disability support workers Levels 1–4, SIL, community access, employment participation, recovery coaching, AT mentoring and relevant skill development.

3 24–34 EN, RN, Clinical Nurse, CNC, Nurse Practitioner, domestic services, cleaning, gardening, community engagement, personal training.

5 68–86 Early childhood therapy, education and therapy assistants.
6 87 Support connection, coordination, specialist coordination, ILO exploration and employment coordination.
7 88 Plan management monthly fee.
Additional sections 89–96 Isolated-towns modification and key definitions, including day, evening, night and sleepovers.

What is not fully covered by that 96-page PDF?

Specialist Disability Accommodation building prices: the schedule itself states that SDA maximum amounts are specified in a separate 2026–27 Pricing Schedule for Specialist Disability Accommodation. The attached document's support worker and shared-support items are not substitutes for SDA dwelling prices.

Assistive technology purchases, home modifications and consumables: readers should consult the relevant support catalogue and applicable code guides. The attached schedule includes AT mentoring and some professional selection/manufacture services, but that does not create a universal price list for mobility devices, equipment purchases or property modifications.

Non-labour travel and activity-based transport: the attachment includes separate therapy _PT labour time rows. It does not by itself give a complete, current permission matrix for kilometres, parking, tolls, return journeys, provider travel time for other worker groups or participant transport.

Cancellation and reporting eligibility: the schedule includes cancellation, telehealth, non-face-to-face and NDIA-requested report item variants for numerous therapies. Whether a particular claim is allowed depends on the current detailed rules, the participant agreement and the support's flags in the Support Catalogue.

Four mistakes to avoid when using price tables

  1. Assuming a code means funding approval: a listed maximum is not an instruction to buy a service or a guarantee a particular participant's plan funds it.
  2. Using the previous year's conditions as confirmed current rules: as of October 2026, the NDIA pricing arrangements page says updated detailed pricing and claiming documents are being prepared. Where old rules are mentioned, they should be labelled historical.
  3. Confusing service location with home address: for national, remote and very remote rates, the 2026 schedule uses where the support is actually delivered, including isolated-town exceptions.
  4. Charging every member of a group the full rate: the schedule expressly requires dividing the applicable group maximum by the number of people in the group.

When do these prices expire?

The figures are for the 2026–27 financial year and this particular version has an effective date of 24 September 2026. The NDIA can issue amendments or additional directions. The appropriate rate is the legally current amount on the service date, not necessarily the amount that applied when the agreement was first signed.

Frequently asked questions

Does every NDIS support have a fixed hourly rate?

No. The schedule contains several different units and some supports are dealt with by other documents or quote-based processes.

Are 2026–27 SDA dwelling prices included in the 96-page schedule?

No. The schedule itself directs readers to a separate SDA pricing schedule.

Can I rely on a 2025–26 travel or cancellation limit in October 2026?

Only after confirming that the rule remains applicable under the current pricing determination and detailed guidance; the attached schedule alone does not restate all previous requirements.
